The book is based on the life experience of the author Edna Nwobi who had diabetes for six years but with lifestyle changes , was able to reverse her diabetic condition .

Cases of some people the author helped to reverse or improve their diabetic conditions were cited .The book explained the disease DIABETES, different types of diabetes and the devastating effects of uncontrolled diabetes on the different parts of of the body.

With the author's knowledge of Food science and nutrition and her hands on experience in suffering from diabetes she researched into the use of local foods for the control or even reversal of diabetes .She classified the local foods into their glycemic indexes and recommended foods good or bad for diabetics . She also stressed the importance of exercise in the control of diabetes .Her conclusion "The diagnosis of Diabetes is not a death sentence " This is because diabetes can be controlled by lifestyle changes.

/ About The Author - Mrs Edna Nwobi

Mrs Edna NwobiMrs Edna Nwobi has an M.Sc degree in Food Science from the University of Reading England. At the age of 63, she discovered she had diabetes and other health issues associated with it. She started giving free medication to people in her hometown and nearby communities.

She recently founded an NGO EndiCare (Edna Nwobi Diabetic Care) Foundation to enable her raise funds to increase the scope of her charity work.

Through her research and with her knowledge of food and nutrition she also learnt that one can control diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol with food and exercise.

She is diabetes free and she has helped other people achieve this. It is her desire to reach out to more people to teach them about the miracle of good nutrition.
